 About Me |
I am a Junior at Cupertino High School, and I am very involved in the school. I am currently taking the expected core classes, along with French 4 H, Physics H, Choir, Algebra 2, and have a GPA of a 3.83. That seems to be what everyone wants to know about students, but I find that the things we involve ourselves in are far more important. I worked for 9 months Freshman year and have about $1,000 saved up for college. I have taken on several clubs this year. I am involved in Best Buddies, which is when you are partnered up with a mentally challenged kid at the school, and you become their friend since they don't really get recognized by the average kid. It is the most meaningful, and self rewarding thing I have ever done. The other clubs I am involved in are National Honors Society, Cooking Club (as The Public Relations Manager), and International Thespians Society. I am also involved in Field Hockey. I live with my dad, and by looking at his pay check, financial aid offices say he should be able to pay for all of my college. Well that's not the case, because of the divorce with my mom, the money saved up for my college has gone to lawyer fees, and to support my mom who lives off of the checks my dad is obligated to send her every month. So if you cut my Dad's money in half, that's about how much we actually get. I am trying to put my self out there and get as much financial help as possible, keep up with SAT studies, and keep my grades up. It's a full time job to be a student and I have plans to succeed in the future as a doctor, but I can't do it all with out some help, preferable from TIG.
