My Context: "For past 16 years I worked in the banking and Microfinance industry. The career exposed to rural povert economic development activities and micro- lending to the poor. For the entire still the bnation is talking of poverty, poor energy resources, environmental destruction, low affordability to basic education and unemployemnt. The experience proves that not only economic initiatives can enable people chase poverty - it should intergrate other initiatives such as; health, water and snitation services, enough supply of energy and education. Poverty situation exerts pressure on natural resources. therefore if the communities especially in rural areas are not well informed, well supplied with the learning that enable them to use their natural resources sustainably, money (lending par se) wont help them to eradicate poverty. My current initiatives is to enlighten the community; youth, women , adults and other actors to respond to sustainable way of looking at issues. This does not mean we leave the entire work to the elites. Communities have potential in dealing with their issues, they have experience and alternatives. In working with them together we can be able to cahse poverty. In our region - lake zone Tanzania these potentila have not been adequatly utilized or put into task. Such other avenues like: cultural diversity, eco-tourism, human potentila right artcraft etc. need to ne put into pipelines so that they can create opportunity forinvolvement, interactive learning and jobs creation.Loacl people and the international community .. all have to act."
