About Me

I am a 20 year old student, studying Zoology at the University of Glasgow - in Scotland. I have always been passionate about wildlife and as I've grown, my awareness and respect for the environment has grown with me.

I have traveled to Australia and Africa, working in various conservation projects and am eager to further my passion!

In December 2010, I attended the Ape Alliance's second great event - 'Hope 4 Apes' in London.
Presented by David Attenborough (one of my heroes!!) , the night featured presentations from several AMAZING conservationists:
Ian Redmond OBE, Dr. Jo Thompson, Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, Chanee (Aurélien Brulé) and Dr. Biruté Galdikas.
It was a truly inspiring event which brought home the plight of the great apes and the importance of their immediate conservation, as well as financially benefiting several great ape conservation initiatives across the globe.

Attending this event highlighted, to me, how many people actually care about making a change. I am one of those passionate people and Great Ape conservation is extremely important to me. We share the majority of their DNA after all, how could we allow their populations to disappear altogether?
