 About Me |
My involvement in HIV/AIDS work dates way back in the early 1990s when I as youg teacher, I made visits to community near the school in which I was working to sensitize them on HIV/AIDS. Since that time I have worked with various agencies/ organisations in the field of HIV and Reproductive Health with special focus on low income and homeless youth both in Uganda and in Canada. I made a poster presentation at AIDS 2006 in Toronto, Canada. I helped to start Buvuma Islands Community Development Initiative, a Community Based Organisation operating in Buvuma Islands in Uganda. Am a founder member and Executive Director of Eriro Foundation, a Ugandan indeginous not for profit organization with its headquarter in Mityana, Uganda- East Africa. Eriro Foundation's focus are the fishing communities. We currently operate in Mityana district but are in the process of extending our operations to all districts in Uganda who are or whose part are water bodies (lakes).The program areas include HIV/AIDs, Reproductive Health, Water and Sanitaiton, Orphans and other vulnerable children among others.
