My name is Samantha and I am an 18 year old student in the United States. Throughout my teen years I have been troubled by the problems of different countries around the world but I never knew how to help beyond donating to charity and lending a helping hand. I always wanted to go deeper into the root of the problem to help improve people's lives in the long run. I am excited to have this forum for discussion. To me it seems that ignornace (by default) is a roadblock to change; while knowledge gives us the power to make huge strides. In short, I intend to contribute as much as possible to this community so that other young people can expand their knowledge and pursuits on a global scale. Someone once read me this quote..how true it is: "Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world. In fact, it's the only thing that ever has..."
