معلومات عنّي

I work with an organization named BARGAD. Founded in 1997, it is a youth organization working all over Pakistan with university and college students through a network of more than 500 young volunteers other than 10 regular staff members. Guided by an active BoD chaired by reputed economist Dr. Kaiser Bengali, number of our beneficieries has extended more than 10000 students and youth this year through a series of rights-based and skill enhancement training activities, seminars, public forums, publications, research studies, campaigns and dialogues.

Mission of BARGAD: To build peace and cooperation among youth and especially the student communities through curricular and co-curricular activities.

Previously I have done extensive work on child abuse and protection issues, written a book, Meri Hifazat (Urdu: My Safety), and trained more than 300 school teachers all over Pakistan.

One of my researches deal with curriculum of Jihadi Schools (run by militant Islamist groups) in Pakistan that map out syllabi being taught and produced within these fundamentalist institutions. Such hate-material is exposed in this study for the first time in the country.

I have done my Masters in Philosophy from Punjab University, Lahore.

I am much fond of traveling and have been to Germany, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan besides touring within my own country, Pakistan, extensively.

I am happily married and a Kashmiri by origin. My horoscope sign is Scorpio.
