Security watch on AIT,which was conceptualised and developed in 1996 hit the airwaves on July 12,1997.
This programme which aims at bridging the gap of information between our Security agencies and members of the public which they are empowered to serve and creating a deepconsciousness and awareness in the minds of Nigerians and visitors to Nigeria on Security related issues,be it threat to life,
violence,food poisoning and drug adulteration,threat to property,financial crime,insurance issues and others too numerous to mention now,as this briefingis not meant for Security Watch on AIT but to throw light on the forthcoming Security Watch Awards.
Like we all know,the issue of Security is paramount in all human endeavour and that makes the need to appreciate,reward and encourage those charged with the responsibility in ensuring that our lives and property and the nation is safe and secured.As part of marking the seventh year anniversary of Security
Watch on AIT,this award project was instituted and approved by the Nigeria Police.The award is being organised by Security Watch and DAAR Communications Ltd,operators of AIT and Ray Power
