About me
I am basically a Professional Engineer who has focused on the development and marketing of engineering services related to Sustainability. I work for a global Fortune 100 Company (to remain nameless...just because we are publicly traded and I serve in a Director capacity...not because we do anything controversial). I also am an Adjunct Professor of Engineering for a large State University in the United States (I teach one or two classes each term). My professional passion relates to the development of engineering economic models of green and sustainable solutions (financial justification of socially and environmentally sound infrastructure investments).
In spite of my work to promote an apparent "tree - hugging" agenda, I am a mainstream conservative Republican and believe strongly in free enterprise, traditional family values, limited government, and personal accountability. I am also a strong opponent of Socialism and the various manifestations of government - managed services. Having spent much of my career involved in international business, I have a clear view of how Socialism can destroy the competitive advantage of a nation (comparing many European nations to the US illustrates this point). I believe in worker protections and ethical business, but also believe that labor regulation must be ethical to the economic growth needs of a nation.
