About Me |
In 2004 Raphaela started her involvement in HIV/AIDS as a peer educator for Achtung Liebe (attention love), a sex education project in Vienna. During her university studies in communication science and psychology she discovered her passion for holding workshops on the pleasure of safer sex and giving trainings to new sexuality educators. Attending international meetings including AIDS 2006 and AIDS 2008 inspired her to focus her priorities in two specific areas: 1. Exploring potential for youth participation in organisational development and 2. Getting involved in media projects like MTV’s 48 Fest that aim to show young people’s realities of their sexual life.
Since over 2 years she has been part of the "Community Forum Austria" for AIDS 2010 which consists of Austrian organisations working in the field of HIV/AIDS as well as the Vienna Youth Force. Recently she moved to Brussels for coordinating IPPF’s advocacy project “Youth Link” as well as the implementation of youth friendly sexual and reproductive health services in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
