Hello
Its weird but true today I decided to google my name to see where it will take me, then funny enough a young woman with my name sahro but her last name Ahmed came to the top of google search. I looked into more deeper and it was too scary a young person with the same intentions as I do. I am a college student my major is cultural Antropology funny!!! I am in the stage where I see no hope for us refugee youth in the west, where I am currently living is crazy we became what I call the new niggaz if you can understand. Most of our neighborhoods is surrend by drugs which Somali's are becaming the crack victims just like the early 80"s it hit the African American and where the communities collect money from the government calming that they will invest in the youth( curreption every where i go) The most thing that makes me depressed is the violence done to women and children today in the world. Sometimes I feel like I can't identify with my culture because of clan and tribual bull shit and I grow up in foster care so what could my white mother tell me about tribe or clan . When I go to socail events in the somali communities is nothing but tribual and it breaks my heart. Even the communities branch off to sub clans. We are so lost here our elderly did not leave us hope or future. Young people wake up we are the dreams and future that our elderlies could not define. I see hope in Africa, one song could explain Bob Marley said what Africa unite unite
enough about my emotions
I am 21 year old in my second year of college. I live in MN where it has its advantages and disadvantages but I love it. I would love to work for work for the United Nation in order to stop curreption within or the outside.
