As an organization we put the emphasis on education because it is empowering; it gives people the knowledge, skill and attitude to become active and productive members of their communities. Education is thus an indispensable component to development. Individually, our programs are designed to address specific issues as they education and development. Collectively, they are relevant and effective tool designed to address the root causes of illiteracy and poverty. ProjectEDUCATE provides a number of programs that support students, empower educators and engage communities. Our programs include OperationTECHNOLOGY designed to help introduce and improve ICT use in communities. OperationREAD helps improve schools' access to books. OperationEMPOWER helps improve teachers skills through training. Though a young and small organization, we have made considerable progress in meeting our objectives, becoming the first organization in Zambia non-governmental or otherwise to introduce the use of computers into primary schools in the western province and the first to do so in a nursing college in the North-western province. All of our programs are designed with the help and support of the communities in which we work. Helping to ensure relevance and success through community participation. The goal being to invest in human capital as a tool for development by supporting students, empowering educators and engaging communities.
