About Me

I am a development activist with a special focus on equal access to technology for youth in rural and urban areas of Zimbabwe.
I started getting involved in contributing towards community development in 2004 where i was employed by a local NGO named Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP). ORAP served a pivotal role in creating a platform for me to express my oppinion as well as take action about issues affecting youth in the local communities.
Through that platform i networked with a number of organisations locally, regionaly and internationally. Some of the relationships are still ongoing to date.
Some of the key organisations i have worked with are: Oxfam, International Young Professionals Foundation, Safer Africa, American Friends Service Committe, Young Woman in Action, African Youth Partnerships.
I recently developed and fund-raising project that makes use of SMS as a fund-raising tool.
It's a Bibble SMS system that distributes inspirational bible verses to subscribers while billing the recipient for the service. The revenue generated is then channeled to christian community development activities such as sponsoring an orphanage, or building a church.
I will provide more details about the system as it takes shape.
The current status of the project is: Ready for Launch.
