MISSION STATEMENT
The National Youth Anti-Racism Network (NYAN) aims to contribute to the promotion of an equitable society, whose diversity is a source of strength in facing the challenges of the future. NYAN is a youth-led network, bringing together Canadian youths of all backgrounds to provide a crucial, united and national youth voice on anti-racism issues.
NYAN encourages young Canadians to mobilize to combat racism and discrimination, with a particular emphasis on the participation of Aboriginal youth and youth racialized communities. It is a call for action to combat racism and shall serve to complement the outstanding work being done throughout the country at local, regional, provincial and national levels by organizations, governments, private sector actors and individuals who are committed to fighting racism.
