About Me

I have earned a BA (Hon) Youth and Community Education under the University of Huddersfield. I am one of the Authors, Researchers and research team leader for Our Voice, Our Future, Young people’s report on progress of the UNGASS Declaration of commitment on HIV/AIDS Review. I am Project Director for Youth Vision Zambia, co-founding member and Coordinator Capacity Building and Training for Lentswe La Rona means ‘Our Voice’ and is a network of Young African Advocates working with other young people for the improvement of lives of youth in Africa
I was Zambia’s Youth representative to the United Nations General Assembly for the Would Programme of Action for Youth 2005 Meeting, I have presented a number of papers at both local and international level: ie the Roundtable countdown 2015 on Reproductive Health meeting in London 2004, the XI International Conference on AIDS in Thailand 2004, The ICPD/IPPF Africa Regional Roundtable Countdown 2015 in Kenya 2004, at the United Nations Economic and social Council high level meeting in Dakar, the 2nd African Conference on Social Aspects of HIV/AIDS in cape town and Towards an Africa without Borders in USA at the University of Wisconsin –Madison.
I have also served as moderator on a number of international meetings such as: Breaking Through workshop 10 years since Cairo in Sweden, the Global Youth Gathering in United Arab Emirates, at the Africa Advocacy workshop by the Youth Coalition and Youth Against AIDS Network, I am currently sitting on a number of HIV/AIDS committees in Zambia including the Zambia National Youth Development Council. I have some Project Proposal writing skills networking skills. I am able to share information on best advocacy practices which I have do at different international meetings.
