My interest in working for an international organization is reflected in my major, International Development, and my past work placements, extracurricular activities and volunteering background. Here are a few highlights:

Program Facilitator of International House at the Univeristy of Guelph:
o Create, plan, and implement educational, social, and recreational programs, create and present hall programs to educate residents about critical issues and international subject matters
o Bring in academic speakers from various university departments, professors and staff for workshops and a lecture series
o Large scale campus wide events, such as holding a Model UN, Film Festival, Travel Writing Contest, AIDS Awareness Workshop, International Relations Book Club Discussion, Public Policy Debates and many more such events!
o Inform students about travel opportunities such as exchanges or semesters abroad
o Information sessions and activities planned with OPIRG, the Baha’i Students Association, the Debating Society, the Eastern European Club, the CSA Human Rights Office, the Indian Students Club, the Jewish Students Association, the Korean Students Association, the Latino Cultural Society, the Save the Children Guelph Branch, Students for Literacy, the Tamil Students Association, the Geography Society, the Politics Society, the History Society, the International Development Club and the West Indian Students Association, so that these university clubs can give presentations and offer volunteer opportunities
o Liason to the Human Rights and Equity Office, the Wellness Centre, the Learning Commons, the Multi-faith Resource Team, Career Services, the Centre for International Programs, etc.
o Network with NGO’s and governmental organisations for guest speakers and programs, such as Mines Action Canada, the United Nations Association of Canada, Habitat for Humanity, Global Youth Challenge, The Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF,etc.
