When you grow up in germany you will be confronted with the german history again and again, which means 2 horrible world wars and the madness of the holocaust. You meet people who have survived and who spend all of their time and energy to make a change. You start to think something like that could never happen again as we live in a modern, educated, informed civilzation. People would stand up if something unbelievable like that would happen again and you start to feel kind of save. And then september 11. takes place and your whole image of justice gets fucked up by a war of cultures, including kz´s like guantanamo. You suddenly have to realize that the fight for humanity and brotherhood will NEVER end and that it is your very own duty to get your ass up and do something!
