I am also the CIO of YBME - Young Black Mature Entreprenuers. YBME is a movement geared towards the education, encouragement and empowerment of inner city youth.
Since Corporate America pays the bills, I'm a paralegal, soon to be realtor.
I graduated from college with a BS in Marketing, but have found that my true passion lies with helping others. I desire to change lives; change view points; instill morals, respect and tact.
Unfair sentencing; lack of federal parole; children being removed from an abusive environment just to be placed in an abusive State-ran agency; prison conditions; lack of parental guidance; community disinvolvement; homosexuality; low self esteem, or none; labeling children rather than listening to them - these are just some of issues that burn me inside - these are the issues I would love to tackle on a daily basis.
Advocacy is a feasible option for me, seeing as how I tend to have so much to say, but I'm having trouble getting into such a field. Just like everything else - it's all about who you know. I'm not even sure if that's the area I should be in.
I hope to meet others who share similar views as me, thus opening doors that will lead to a road of change.
