About Me

Born and raised in Sydney I am now 42 years old. My upbringing taught me to fear what might be and not to take risks. Only now am I throwing off these shackles and realising just what it is I am here to do. I have never married & have no children or other ties. I consider myself as a bit of a loner and enjoy my own space but under the right circumstances I fit right on in!

In my entire life I have never been money driven, yet due to our society's expectations I have forced myself to conform to standards in which I do not believe. For years now I have been running my own draughting business, paying the mortgage, mowing the lawn and endless other meaningless tasks because it was "expected of me".

My real skills are making mechanical and structural things work - by hook or by crook I will solve that problem! I don't like to follow restrictive rules in this regard. Just try telling me it can't be done! As a wise man once said: "Give me a fulcrum and I will move the world!".

I have never even contemplated volunteering before, especially overseas! But now is the time for me to make my contributions to truly worthy people. People who not only need real help but WANT it! I also understand that I am very ignorant of what I may be getting myself into, I know I have much to learn but then, isn't that what life is really about?
