I'm a 23 year old gentleman and a youth volunteer working with PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF GHANA (PPAG) an NGO in Ghana. Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana seeks to address the sexual and reproductive health of young people.We also create awareness on the folowing:HIV/AIDS,Drug Abuse,STDs and anything concerning the yuoth.In order to tackle these issues more effectively,PPAG has embacked on a resource project called the Young and Wise centre in which i play a very key role. Young and Wise Centres are established in most regions in ghana with the headquarters in accra. The Young and Wise centre has 5 different units to its credit.These units are: COUNSELLING UNIT: where young people with problems or questions concerning their sexuality are counselled. COMPUTER CENTRE:where young people are trained on the various computer software programmes. LIBRARY:where young people go to read books and other materials concerning sexual and reproductive health. CLINIC:the clinic attend to patients with problems cocerning SRH and also run counselling programs for young people. MAIN HALL:this is a hall with games, a big screen television,a sound system and a mini mat. Disusions, games and forums are held in this main hall. All these units are managed by youth facilitators and other young people. Apart from being the chairman of the Youth Facilitators, i'm also the Assistant Computer Software Instructor. I'm also hoping to enter into one of the tirtiary institutions in Ghana by August this year.
