About Me

I am Masood Ahmed Jan from NWFP, Pakistan. I was born on May 14th, 1982. I was raised in District Charsadda NWFP, Pakistan. I am the eldest of my five siblings. My parents belong to the same ancestry. My Mother Tongue is Pashto. I live in a Joint Family System.
I received my early education in my parent district and completed my Secondary School Certificate from Cadet College Razmak (North Waziristan, NWFP, and Pakistan). I did my graduation in sociology and law from Government Post Graduate College Mardan NWFP, Pakistan. I did Master in sociology from University of Peshawar Pakistan, session 2004-5. During my masters studies I joined Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) as Social Organizer. After one and half year in HRCP, I was appointed as Field Coordinator in National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) a joint venture of government and public sector for the promotion of education and health and volunteerism in the marginalized sections of society. After completing my nine months contract with NCHD, I joined Lead (Pakistan) as Social Organizer. My role in Lead was to work for raising awareness among community regarding future challenges and threats ahead of Natural Environment and to adopt measures and tactics to minimize Environmental Degradation. Currently I am serving Save the Children (Sweden) as Community Mobilization Officer. My job in this organization is to ensure Child Protection in the Earthquake Devastated areas of Northern Pakistan.
