 About Me |
Manuella received a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations in 2007 and she is now doing a Master in Political Science. From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a project assistant for the Brazilian NGO Gestos, when she participated in a project to monitor the goals on sexual and reproductive rights of the UN Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS in 16 countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. Since 2008, she has been a member of Global Youth Coalition on HIV/Aids (GYCA) and during 2009 she was the National Focal Point in Brazil for GYCA. Currently she is GYCA Focal Point for Latin America. At her city, Recife, she has been part of the Collective of Young Women, which acts on SRHR and gender issues. Manuella was a member of the Advocacy Subcommittee of Mexico YouthForce, for the 17th International AIDS Conference and integrated the Leadership and Accountability Programme Committee for the 18 th International AIDS Conference.

Manuella es graduada en Relaciones Internacionales y hace una Maestría en Ciencias Políticas. Entre 2007 y 2008, trabajó como asistente de proyecto en la ONG brasileña Gestos, en un proyecto de monitoreo de las metas de salud sexual y reproductiva de la Declaración de Compromiso sobre VIH/SIDA de Naciones Unidas, en países de América Latina, África, Asia y Leste Europeo. Desde 2008 es miembro de GYCA y durante 2009 fue Punto Focal Nacional de GYCA en Brasil. Actualmente es Punto Focal Regional de GYCA para Latinoamérica.
