 About Me |
Manuella has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and has been involved in monitoring public policies on HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Rights since 2006. She worked as a project assistant in the Brazilian organization Gestos, participating in the development of a project that coordinates efforts to monitor the goals on sexual and reproductive rights of the UN Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS in 16 countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. She co-facilitated civil society forums to discuss research and advocacy strategies in different countries and participated in regional and international meetings focused on HIV/AIDS. Manuella was part of Brazilian delegation for the UN High Level Meeting Review on HIV/AIDS in 2008 and was also a member of the Advocacy Subcomittee of Mexico YouthForce, for the International AIDS Conference in Mexico. Currently she is co-coordinating Peru YouthForce, for the 5th Latin American and Caribbean Forum on HIV/AIDS and ITS.

Manuella es graduada en Relaciones Internacionales y ha estado involucrada en el monitoreo de políticas públicas en VIH/SIDA y Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos desde 2006. Actuó como asistente de proyecto en la organización brasileña Gestos, participando en el desarrollo de un proyecto que coordinó esfuerzos para monitorear las metas sobre derechos sexuales y reproductivos de la Declaración de Compromiso sobre VIH/SIDA de Naciones Unidas en 16 países de Latinoamérica, Asia, África y Leste Europeo. Ha facilitado foros de sociedad civil acerca de metodologías de investigación y estrategias de incidencia política en diferentes países y participado de reuniones regionales e internacionales sobre VIH/SIDA. Manuella fue parte de la delegación brasileña para la Reunión de Alto Nivel sobre VIH/SIDA en 2008 en Naciones Unidas y fue también parte del Subcomité de Incidencia Política de la FuerzaJoven de México, para la Conferencia Internacional sobre el SIDA. Actualmente está co-coordinando la FuerzaJoven de Perú, para el V Foro Latinoamericano y del Caribe en VIH/SIDA e ITS.
