The narcissistic update on myself:
I am a Vietnamese Canadian, born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. Being a product of two parents who were refugees from the era of the "Boat People", I have gravitated towards international development issues since I was 13 years old.
I am currently doing a Masters at OISE in Adult Education and Community Development with a collaboration in Comparative and International Education.
I hold a passionate belief in the right to basic education, especially for street children in developing countries. I have had the priviledge to travel in countries such as Vietnam, India and Bangladesh.
I hope Creating Local Connections can create opportunities for youth in Canada to expand their minds and forge connections to global issues around the world.
