 About Me |
I am a 25 year old recent graduate from Abbotsford, British Columbia. I have just completed my B.Sc. in Biology and have just started a Masters in Public Health with a Global Health concentration. Since my return from Tanzania, I have begun my graduate studies, and have continued to focus on Global Health issues including HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, and how they impact the socio-economical development both at the community and at the individual level.
In addition to my studies, I have recently started my own NGO called Growing Opportunities International (GO!). At GO!, we create partnerships with individuals living in developing nations who have a passion and a dream to create positive change in their community, but lack the resources to do so. GO! works on a per-project basis, closely supporting and nurturing each project from its initial stages as an idea right through until the project is running on its own and is sustainable in the local community.
