About me
Maja Andjelkovic has been with IISD’s Knowledge Communications team since 2002, as an intern, associate and project officer. Her focus is in the field of information and communications for sustainable development.
She has successfully managed collaborative policy research projects, developed training materials and delivered workshops on networks, project management and research methods, and conducted feasibility studies and project evaluations. During the World Summit on the Information Society, she steered the work of the youth caucus and coordinated its gender strategy. Based on this, she served as an advisor to the World Bank and the Canadian Commission for UNESCO on their youth activities.
Previously, she worked in the private sector on developing Internet technology used to track public opinion. Maja holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University at Kingston and an LLM in International Law (with Distinction) from the University of Kent. Her work focusing on Internet governance was recognized with Kent Law School’s Achievement Prize.
