Over Mij

Maarten Ronteltap (BA) is a graduate student at the MA Political Science program at Leiden University. He holds a BA degree from the University College of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Having focused on Political Science, Law, Economics and History at undergraduate college, he is currently specializing in the domain of Political Science.

His research interests are in peacekeeping operations and politics of developing countries. He is currently in the process of writing a thesis concerning the effect of peacekeeping operations since 1945.

His professional interests are to assist and contribute to development of Third World countries on an intergovernmental or non-governmental level, to be involved in the policy planning and implementation of UN peacekeeping operations and to conduct research as to how to achieve these goals.

Currently, as an extracurricular activity, he is a guide in the Dutch parliament (Tweede Kamer) and the Hall of Knights (Ridderzaal), offering tours in Dutch, English, French and German.

Maarten Ronteltap currently lives in Leiden, the Netherlands.
