About Me

My name is Dominic Macavoray a youth activist in Sierra Leone West Africa. I have worked with youth organizations in Sierra Leone for the past 4 years now namely - international Education and Resource Network iEARN Sierra Leone, Defense for Children International DCI Sierra Leone and the War Child Holland Sierra Leone as an Intern for a period of 1 year 3 months. Having extended or worked as a youth in all this youth groups, a word of Pearson came to my mind to establish a youth group my self to help youth to reclaim their potentials as productive citizens. So in 2004 I founded the youth Mobilization and Advocacy Movement. In January 2005 we decided to affiliate our group with the World Voices Norway Organization, so we copy their name partly as- World Voices Sierra Leone. Actually World Voices Sierra Leone is youth / children organization that give ordinary young people the opportunity to talk about what is important to them, their real lives, hopes, fears, and dreams for the future. Our major focus as a youth movement is the fight against HIV/AIDS and Non violence Communication amongst our people because we believe as youth organization our people need forgiveness, peace and love after a 11 years of brutal war.

I am pleased to become member of this youth group and I want to assure you all that World Voices Sierra Leone will work with you for a better world.
