About Me |
I grew up too near Hadrians wall. The result was a degree in Modern History. Fortunately my father was a computer scientist and so I was able to talk my way into a web company just as the .com boom was taking off. It was time to change the world, to reinvent paradigms, to invent new words, business models and ways to lose lots of money quickly.
A few years later I emerged blinking into the light and went to take an MBA in order to work out what the hell had happened. Where had the new economy gone - had it ever existed - and just how does a global economy work anyway?
Post MBA I moved to Amsterdam and took up residence at Greenpeace, where I am trusted to run web projects, evaluate technology and pontificate on a variety of matters far beyond my experience.
For those who really care I've been involved in around 200 commercial web projects, mostly for Fortune 500 companies. I practice Agile project management and have been at Greenpeace for two years managing a global web presence and generally making things happen.
