About me
I am a qualified Librarian and working at the Management Development Institute, The Gambia. I am also a parttime lecturer in Business Communication. I am an international UNV and have served on UN Missions in South Africa, East Timor and Kosovo. I am a Christian, a Methodist by denomination, married with four children. I serve on the Gambia Christian Council and am the Chairperson of the Committee on Womens Affairs and Family Life. I am also the Secretary of the Wesley Womens Auxiliary and the Secretary to the West Africa Area of the World federeation of Methodist and uniting Church Women. I am an amateur poet and have written several poems which have been published in the Daily Observer, (one of our Newwpapers). I was nominated International Poet of the Year in 2000 by the International Society of Poets in the UK. I love writing, singing and current affairs.I have travelled extensively mostly on Conferences, seminars, courses and UN missions. I have been to India, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, East Timor, Macedonia, United Kingdom, Austria, France, Ethipoia, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D'ivore, Cameroun, Senegal. I speak English, Creole (my mother tongue), French.
