 About Me |
The Municipal Council on Drug Prevention (MCDP) was established in 2004 with the purpose of decreasing drug use among Bulgarian youth both locally as well as nationally.
The MCDP diligently works to reduce drug use amongst youth through many projects, including drug education campaigns, a documentary video on drug addiction, and discussions where youth play the parts of different community members such as teachers, policemen, parents, drug dealers, youth, etc.
The MCDP created a Youth Council to provide local youth with the opportunity to have a voice in drug prevention efforts that will directly affect them and their peers. They have been responsible for several community-based projects focusing on educating their fellow students on the harmful effects of drug use. The Youth Council recently participated in it's first Global Youth Service Day!
