My name is Luis Pablo Merino Morejón, I am fifteen years old. I was born in Cuba, an archipelago located in the West Indies. Since 1999 I have been living in Dominican Republic, located in the island called Hispaniola. The island formed by Haiti and Dominican Republic which is also located in the West Indies. I am a 3rd grader in the “Liceo Vespertino República de Guatemala” a public high school in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. I have studied English by myself, with some help of the English teachers throughout my scholar program, after taking a short three months course in the Berlitz Institute. Right now I am sharpening my English skills to take the TOEFL test in January, so that I can apply for an international scholarship. I studied French up to the 5th grade in the French Alliance, but I am picking it up again. I am currently in the process of self studying Mandarin. I graduated from CENTU in a technical course on Web Design and Programming. Using tools such as: Fireworks MX, Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX; together with internet languages like: Html, JavaScript and Asp. I am also in the process of learning how to play the classic guitar and developing perfect and relative pitch through an internet program. If you are wondering: no, no work experience, yet. But by January I will volunteer in the United Nations to develop a theme I have created through my understanding of the Dominican culture, inspired by the Introduction to psychology lectures given by Professor Jeremy Wolfe from MIT. Curiosities: I studied classical ballet for three years being a little boy, I even performed in the National Theater Eduardo Brito four times, yet somehow I ended up liking Heavy Metal Music (no deathmetal or screamo thou).
