I heard about TakingITGlobal 3 years ago when this site had been started for about a year, when I heard Jen and Mike speak at an Ottawa JCI event. Since then, I have been completely amazed to see just how quickly this virtual community has grown.
My passion for life is in development through ICT and technology. At the moment, I am involved in an organization called Engineers Without Borders, and will be setting up a computer centre in Nepal as just one of our various projects. This is a unique organization in bringing together engineering and international development.
During my years as a student, I have become actively involved in many extra-curricular activities, actively promoting the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Carleton University, organizing numerous events and conferences. Outside of school, I have and still continue to volunteer with several local organizations.
I love to travel and learn about other cultures, and find it really interesting how cultures come together as a synergy. I love to help others find the best within themselves. I love to learn.
