 About Me |
I am a practitioner who works with disadvantaged communities such as refugees and torture survivors for last seven years. I have been working in Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and USA apart from my small-scale work in Bangladesh, Nepal and Indonesia. My experiences are from trauma treatment, theater and art work, using culture as a tool of changing community trauma, peace building programming, psycho-social programming, community health (HIV/AIDS and health and safety of women), democracy and governance, human rights, legal aid, multi-cultural aspects of programming, conflict/dispute resolution mechanisms, community organising, and participatory action learning methods to project development, grant management, organisational capacity building and policy implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation methodologies related to community level programming.
I like working with people and meeting new people... I learn buddism and like reading a lot.
