About Me |
A little about my life story:
I'm a nonviolence activist since I was 17 y. o., when I joined The Community for the Development of Human Being, civil association based on the principles of The Humanist Movement, founded by Mario Rodriguez Cobos, Argentinean thinker and writer.
I have been candidate for the mayor for the 1985 elections in Rio de Janeiro, representing the Humanist Party. We had just 30 seconds on TV and a budget of only US$ 100,00 ! Even so, people gave us 20.000 votes, due to the quality of the party's proposals.
In the 1190's decade I have been working as a voluntary in The Community for the Development of Human Being, which has lots of social projects, such as neighbourhood newspapers, exhibitions, debates based on movie sessions, polls, workshops and many others.
I Worked for Rio de Janeiro State Government's Project "New Life", as monitor-in-field. The project regarded to qualify the youth living in poor communities (slams) on subjects like health, ecology and citizenship. That was a very good experience to me and I made many friends between them.
Worked also as translator, copy holder and bot master (controlling virtual robots),
Worked as teacher of Citizenship and IT in a project of qualification for the youth deployed by Brazil's Federal Government (Sectoral Plan of Qualification).
Nowadays, I'm studying web languages and artificial intelligence programming in order to create my own web site. Also, I'm planning to launch a magazine in my neighbourhood, in order to help people organizing amongst themselves activities regarding the well being on the neighbourhood. My objective is to create a successful experience that can be replicated on other neighbourhoods of the city and, why not, on other cities and states.
