About Me |
The Kick the Carbon Habit Education Campaign (KCHEC) was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme’s Regional Office for North America (UNEP-RONA) in the summer of 2008. This campaign is to empower and educate youth and the general public on concrete ways they can reduce their carbon footprint and address climate change. The campaign will be led by university and high school students who will use educational events to reach out to their communities as an on-going effort to educate the public about methods of conservation in a world where natural resources are becoming increasingly scarce.
