About Me

I look forward to meeting people who are motivated and committed to social change. More than anything, I want to meet people who are not interested in talking about what they have done, but spend that time to reach higher heights.

That said, a little about me:

I managed a charitable foundation for 3 years. My main duties were volunteer coordination for events across Canada and managing every aspect-from production to marketing- of a charitable greeting card campaign. I feel that there are far too many talented and committed volunteers who are not being used to their full potential. In response, I created Volunteers in Action (ViA), a coalition of volunteers who undertake large projects. While volunteering in India, I developed a partnership with a registered Indian NGO called Yuvsatta to create WIN: Women Initiative’s. WIN works to provide desperately needed education and employment to socio-marginalized women living in the slums India. By utilizing my experience in managing a charitable greeting card campaign that raises more than $35,000 annually, WIN will sell handmade cards in Canada. I will be attending York University in pursuit of my Bachelor of Social Work.
