About Me

Exciting news!! I will be participating in a Youth Challenge International project from January to March 2010 in Mombasa, Kenya. I will be working alongside local charity organizations to implement social, political and economic development programs. Youth Challenge International is a non-profit organization that promotes personal, community, and global development. The major goal of all YCI projects is to foster youth development and to involve youth in solutions to the problems that they face everyday in their own community. The programs being developed by YCI volunteers such as myself are to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, gender equality, youth employment, life skills and environmental protection. It’s about passing on the tools I have been blessed with to youth in developing countries so they have the power to make change happen!
I am so excited about this opportunity and am hoping that my friends and family will be able to support me through this journey. My goal is to raise $3700 in support of the program.
