I have been working with young people since 1970, when I was a young activist myself. In my work with the HeartWood Centre for Community Youth Development, I tend to engage with adults in the areas of capacity building, organizational development, and systems change. This national youth engagement initiative is very exciting because I get to collaborate with many of the community partners we have developed in Halifax, as well as with colleagues across the country. On a personal level, I truly enjoy reading, creative writing, carpentry, story-telling, and cooking with great flair.
