About me
Jocelyn has co-facilitated numerous leadership trainings and an international volunteering experience in Bangkok, with Leaders Today. Her speaking history includes keynote addresses to the 15th World Council of YMCA’s in Mexico, the Taiwanese Government in Taipei and the Glocal Youth Parliament in Ankara.
In Toronto, Jocelyn earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree and then worked with Journalists for Human Rights to train Ghanaian journalists in human rights reporting. Throughout university she actively participated in residence life. Jocelyn’s interest in student engagement comes from early exposure, through Free The Children and TakingITGlobal, to the need for the contribution of youth to global challenges. She most recently spent time as a volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata.
Jocelyn joined the TakingITGlobal team as Development and Communications Coordinator in the Spring of 2005 . Her role with TakingITGlobal enabled her to work with youth delegates in creating the Official Youth Declaration to the 2005 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change meetings in Montreal.
