She is an advocate for youth voice and expression through involvement with her community for the Last 5 years. Sitting on boards with organizations such as the Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) and the Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Council (UMAYC), and developing theatre productions with native youth in east Vancouver serves to give a voice to urban aboriginal youth issues. Jerilynn just got back from her formal training at the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto.
