It wasnt until I was 16 that I had the direction and confidence to step outside of the norm and stand up for what I believe is right. There wasnt a moment that I can pinpoint when I decided that I wanted to join the fight for equality. I suppose I've always been stirred by inequality, but never had a productive outlet. The amazing people I have met on stir [www.stir.org.au] have honestly changed my life, as they have educated me about the issues in the first place and continue to inspire and support me. Otherwise, I live in a little town on the north coast of NSW, Australia. Im currently studying year 12 and i just found out that i am known as "Charity girl" (I dont know if that is meant as a compliment, but that's how im taking it!) and "Swimming girl" by people who dont know me very well.... I'm also fun-loving & laugh probably too much, Im an optimist, a nerd, an activist, a stirrer,... Im creative, adventurous, quiet & stubborn, love travelling, swimming, reading writing, and learning.
