About Me   About Me
When you apply for a job, you have to be the best among all others in order to get it. Otherwise, you’ll end up failing. Weather you want it or not, adults need to be competitive because this is what life is all about. People have to be more aware. Competition pushes you toward improvements and great results. Somehow, someone is always on your back, ready to take your place, filling for your lack of skills and efficiency. “Life is tough! Wear a helmet!”

In a few years, many jobs will be completed by machines rather that by humans. In the actual technology era, improvement never stops. Machines and programs are used in every domain of society. For that reason, workers need to be able to achieve advance tasks. That way, they won’t be replaced by software. Propaganda over Hydro Québec’s new water meters has been done, saying that many people would lose their jobs and that electricity bills would raise. In fact, Hydro Québec has created a new system that is much more accurate that human’s eyes and that provides data much faster than if the job was done manually. These people weren’t able to compete against a machine, which is why they might get fired. So, jobs protected by technology’s evolution are the ones that require complex human skills.

In conclusion, competition is almost everywhere. If nobody can replace you, maybe a machine will. It pushes you in working harder, being more efficient and getting to the top. Nothing is guarantied for the ones who aren’t able to satisfy certain criteria. Life is tough, heartless and relentless. However, at which point competition becomes obsessive and unhealthy?
