 About Me |
Hi! Iam Jamie, Iam 22 years old, and just recently graduated from Trinity Western University with a BA major in social sciences, and a certification in Human Services.
I have a passion for people, especially kids. I love their inhibited nature to be free, curious, creative, and to speak what's on their mind.
Last year i traveled to Tanzania, Africa for the first time, but certainly not the last. Being there, living with the people of Tanzania, seeing the strength within them and the love shown changed me and now i can never be the same. There was a group of us, we built a library while we were there. Each Canadian was also paired with a Tanzanian counterpart and together each pair stayed with a host family.
My dream is to work with a devolpment organization, and live in Africa. I believe in building relationships and educating people in order to empower them, to bring hope, change a mind, and create a movement. I love experiencing new things, and losing myself in this beautiful planet. Mountains, beaches,waves,sunsets, starry nights, and hooot weather all hold a sweet spot in my heart. I love going into the great outdoors and being miles away from any sort of civilization.
Iam a proud aunt of a little boy named ashton and i have two older brothers. I love my family, just thinking about them makes me smile. All in all iam excited about life and about the things that are happening, and even though i may be unsure of what the future holds, i know who holds the future. Mystery is part of life, it keeps it exhilerating, interesting, and full of FLAVOR!!!!!
