 About Me |
I have taken part in two volunteer/travel programs to date. The first: Katimavik, a seven month program based in three different communities across Canada. The second: Youth Challenge International. I went to Costa Rica for 10 weeks and volunteered in a small community called juanilama developing the eco tourism infrastructure. I would really like to take part in more of the same in the future, but for now, I just live and work in Belgium to replenish the bank accounts that volunteering so quickly empty.
I move around a lot, so far I have lived in twelve locations in five countries. Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. So far in the places which are not my home country, the UK has been the easiest, and Belgium the most difficult. I have now, after living in Belgium, come to realize the importance of being multi-lingual, and now I only have to decide which language to study first!
