 About Me |
I am a New Zealand teacher in a co-ed, non-uniformed, urban,progressive school, particularly interested in how the insights of complexity thinking can work in my classroom. I am also interested in developing the idea of a critical pedagogy of place for my school. Currently I am influenced by educators such as Brent Davis, Chet Bowers, David Gruenewald and Neil Postman. I am also interested in developing an ecological philosophy of history and social studies teaching. The idea of "global citizenship" is also something I am exploring and how the internet can promote this.
