 About Me |
I've been working in 'development' since 1993, when I left a job in advertising to pursue something more meaningful. I'm not sure I've found it yet but along the way I have learnt a lot about environmental and development issues, not to mention the politics of aid. I've worked with NGOs in Bangladesh, policy research outfits and have done a fair bit of travelling. My carbon footprint is therefore on the large side. After spending five years or so in New York, I'm currently based in sub-Saharan Africa. Along the way I have somehow conspired to get married to the wonderful Sarwat and we are blessed with two gorgeous children: Nusayb and Deya. As with most parents who have the luxury to do so, the world they will grow up into is now something I'm thinking about jolly hard.
