We work to foster the emerging of young Nigerians who are: 1. Moral and Principled 2. Informed 3. Creative 4. Contributing to positive social change Our work allows us to inspire improved communication technique in class rooms as well as inspire better learning outcomes. Beginning from 2008, up to 10,000 school children in Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon have participated in our various projects. Handz and Mindz Ltd works from three project platforms namely: EduPRO, Writing Platform and WeCreate. Writing Platform This is the unit of Handz and Mindz Ltd., which uses creative writing through children picture books, novels for teens, articles publication, and blogs to inspire our vision. On this platform, we develop content for children and teen targeted publications on behalf of schools, faith based institutions, government agencies etc which aids the process of re-orientation and awareness creation. While also speaking up and making our voices heard on issues that affect children, teens and hence the future of Africa. Between Inception and today, 70% our total outreach has been based on this platform. This has been made possible through the periodic publication of Knit AFRICA a teen’s leadership magazine that embodies practical tips to maximizing everyday teen experiences. WeCREATE This unit designs and implements programs around our written works for the purpose of institutionalizing our values. KOBOLAND is an example of works implemented on this platform. KOBOLAND is one of the leading and most engaging practical teenager’s bootcamp where teenagers between 12 and 16 learn to make visionary and societal need driven career choices based on their passion, talent and a need in society. "A" Girl Leadership Class; The A Girl Project is inspired by the need to have a systemic platform that engages and capacitates Nigeria’s next generation of female entrepreneurs and leaders proactively, consistently and above all creatively. It is driven by the rich possibilities in helping the girls see and paint a future defined by her innate talent and abilities, the contribution they can make, her healthy sense of self and very high leadership quotient. Yes, an emerging woman who is a gift to the nation and to her world. This project is designed as a twelve (12) week leadership course with its module covering self esteem, hygiene, anticipatory, critical and visionary thinking models as well as a leadership project initiative. The project targets girls between 11 and 17. For sessions, they are grouped into three in the following way: 11-13 year olds, 14 and 15 year olds, 16 and 17 year olds. Sessions engages children very creatively and will end with the implementation of a leadership project initiative by each participant. Only 15 seats available per class. EduPRO This is our counseling based platform where we engage with parents, children and schools by offering professional advice based our work experiences. This is target towards impacting the communication environment within which children are raised. Services under EduPRO include: Career Counseling Educational Counseling Character Education Program Dialogue Counseling Self Esteem Classes Leadership Classes Mentorship & Coaching for Children and Teens Counseling holds every last Tuesday of the month, 10am – 3pm @ 52 Mike Akhigbe Way, Near Chida Hotel, Jabi, Abuja.
