I've just completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Tampa. So now, I have a BA degree in Government & World Affairs, along with three certificates: ones in European Studies, International Studies, & French.
Some of my interests include painting with oil on canvas, art history, traveling, foreign affairs, cultural exchange, art and historic preservation, and foreign languages.
In government and politics, I am most interested in diplomacy and international political economy/ international development. In the future, I would like to work in the realm of foreign affairs and also blend the arts with government and work with cultural ministries, perhaps preserve art and architecture as well.
In regards to domestic politics, I have worked with an organization aimed at registering voters. Years ago, I worked intensively with the Democratic Party in my county. I have also been involved with the political organizations on my campus.
For the past few years, I have been building my experience in international affairs. I've assisted with research in South Africa, worked with a historic preservation NGO in France, and have just recently worked with the cultural department of the British Embassy in Washington, DC.
Occasionally, I write for research purposes. I prefer to write on historical, cultural and some socio-political subjects. I am also finding that I enjoy writing briefing papers on political and governmental matters.
I enjoy volunteering. In the past, I have participated in volunteer historic preservation projects, volunteered with the elderly in assisted living facilities, assisted in teaching English at an orphanage in the Dominican Republic, and worked with Habitat for Humanity, building houses.
Not too long ago, I had been granted the position of student coordinator of leadership programs at my university. I had essentially planned and structured programs that help students develop as future leaders...in society and on an individual level as well.
