 About Me |
I am 25years old. Born in Swaziland. I am currently working for the National HIV/AIDS Council of Swaziland, coordinating the development process of the National Strategic Plan, Action Plan and Policy. I currently hold a BA Degree in Social Sciences with a double major from the University of Swaziland.I have done extensive volunteer work in the field of HIV and AIDS with a number of organizations. As a former Executive Director of the UNISWA HIV/AIDS Peer Counsellors and Educators at the University of Swaziland and founding member of organization, I have continued to be actively involved in the activities of this organization and seen it grow from strength to strength, becoming the leader in matters of HIV/AIDS at the university. I am also a regular Volunteer at Hope House Manzini which is a safe house for AIDS sufferers who have been ostracized by their families. Mostly I assist with Public relations and scouting for funding, including writing proposals and conducting meetings with potential donors as well as visiting with PLWHA providing palliative care and support. I have facilitated Women’s Dialogues which are a forum for discussing issues affecting women in the country at the University of Swaziland. I believe strongly in the promotion of a rights agenda for and by young women and envisage a time when women’s agenda will be more than the subject of political discourse.
