 About Me |
Marty first became involved in international development while volunteering as a primary school teaching assistant in Burkina Faso in 1998-99 through Canada World Youth. Since then, he has volunteered in several countries including Bolivia, England, Australia, and Cambodia. Prior to his current role with Oxfam, he has held leadership positions with the Toronto Association of Student Councils and the Queen's Project on International Development. Marty has been employed as an Information Strategist with the federal government and as a Legislative Assistant in the provincial government. Marty holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Queen's School of Business at Queen's University and is currently studying law at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Marty and his wife, Jennifer, live in Toronto, Canada. His particular areas of interest are international trade and human rights.
