About Me

I am 25 & getting older :) - living in Ankara, Turkey. I am pretty much involved in sexual and reproductive health & rights over the past 7 years, so much that I have changed my career from being a science teacher into sexual and reproductive health field... Since 2006, I am officially a science teacher but I feel so much comfortable with SRHR field. I have started with a university organization called "Fight AIDS" and things got bigger when I've joined to Y-PEER.

In 2006 & 2007 I worked for adolescents' reproductive health web project. UNFPA Turkey has created a page in a well known web site with a collaboration of a big company. And in this page called "Its My World" I worked as counselor to talk & answer children's questions regarding their adolescence.

By this time I’ve started my Masters degree on Women and Gender Studies at Middle East Technical University - Ankara

Since April 2007, I am working as project coordinator of an advocacy campaign at UNFPA Turkey. This is something I am so excited, not because I am working for it, because it is the first, youth sexual and rep. rights campaign in Turkey implementing by UNFPA Turkey. Our aim is to include sexual education in school curriculum! :)

I am also a member of YouAct, European Network on Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health from 2006.

2009 was another milestone in my life where I finished my masters on Women and Gender (yey) and done with my two years of Steering Committee membership for YouAct [which was amazing two years] and newly selected to board of Y-PEER.

Now I am one of the six international coordinators of Y-PEER, in change of advocacy and partnership.

Lets see what life is gonna bring me in 2010...
